Our Story

Named after a survivor. Built for people who evolve, too.

Why a Kansas sea monster is the namesake for a cybersecurity company two hours from any ocean.

Where the name comes from

Millions of years ago, a shallow inland sea covered what is now Kansas. It was home to the Tylosaurus, an enormous marine reptile and one of the apex predators of its time, fossils of which are still found here today. Tylosaurus didn’t survive by staying still. It adapted, again and again, to a changing environment.

That’s the idea behind Tylo Technologies. Small businesses, agencies, and mission-driven organizations don’t need a technology partner who hands them a one-size-fits-all package and disappears. They need one who evolves with them, which is exactly where our tagline comes from: we evolve with you.

Built in Salina, Kansas

We started Tylo to serve the businesses and communities that usually get skipped over by big-city IT firms: rural small businesses, public agencies, and underserved populations who deserve the same level of protection as anyone else.

The Ageless Security Framework

Every engagement, no matter the client, moves through the same four habits. It’s not a sales pitch, it’s genuinely how we think about technology and risk.

Recognize

Before we recommend anything, we find out what’s actually true about your systems, your data, and your risk, not a generic checklist.

Question

We challenge the assumptions that quietly create risk, especially the ones that sound like “we’ve always done it this way.”

Adapt

We build a plan that fits your real budget, your real team, and your real constraints, not an idealized version of your organization.

Hold

Protection doesn’t lapse the moment a project wraps. We stay in your corner as things change.

What we believe

“Technology should empower people, not expose them.”

That single idea runs through everything we build, from a housing authority’s compliance plan to a first-time small business owner’s very first email account. Good security isn’t about fear. It’s about giving people the confidence to do their work without wondering what might go wrong.
